Ride along.

In 2015, I left my comfortable Canadian lifestyle behind and accepted an international teaching placement in Abu Dhabi, UAE. One would have thought earning a comfortable tax-free salary and meeting the woman of my dreams (my now wife and mother of our three children!) would have been adequate. Yet less than a year later, I resigned from my teaching job, switched to a long distance relationship, and traded in my khakis and pressed shirts for spandex and some polyester cycling jerseys. 

This 8,000 KM journey from Vancouver, BC to Clearwater, FL would ultimately leave gaps in my traditional resume but forever change the trajectory of my life.
